3/21/05: Over this weekend we were on our annual ski trip, where we meet with family from the north. This was our second such Ritual. When we first arrived on Saturday afternoon, I contacted the Spirit of the Mountain, who appeared to me as a huge Being wearing a coat made of Snow and Pine Trees. I spoke with him and asked for Protection for us all over the next 3 days (on the way up I had seen enough Spirit Birds crossing from right to left to make me a bit nervous). I also spoke with the Ice Princess of a past Journey and asked her to accept our presence as people of Joy.
Yesterday, after many wonderful runs, we had an incident in which my wife was unable to get onto the lift chair the three of us were taking, and got caught up in the no-man’s land to the left of the next approaching chair. Unable to get free in time, she was knocked down and dragged under the chair before it stopped. Seeing this, I jumped off the chair I was on and ran back to her. She seemed OK, but after the next downhill run said her knee ligament was bothering her. She took a few more runs, but by now it was late and she cancelled out of the final run of the day. Afterthat run, we sat at the lodge for a good 15-20 minutes, looking for her (she said she would wait there), but she did not show. We had her paged..nothing. While we were waiting, though, a huge Hawk flew toward us from upslope. He or she then began circling almost directly above the lodge. I was too exhilarated by the day’s skiing to take this as more than just a visit of one of my Helpers to give me more Windhorse as she went round and round. But soon thereafter we discovered why she was not answering. She had gone down to the First Aid shack for ice and they were keeping her there until someone came to get her. Once I knew this, I was silently berating myself for missing the message of the Hawk: in this case, as so often happens, Hawk was actually signaling “danger”. Had I been more aware, I would have know immediately that she was at First Aid..instead, we waited another 5-10 minutes.
That evening, I began my work on her knee. My son had also damaged the back of one of his, so I took my nearly pure Quartz Crystal, brought along for such an eventuality, and held it to both their knees, to absorb the Darkness from them. For my wife, though, I then invoked the Spirit of the Hawk. I sent the warning Hawk, in miniature, soaring in circles over her Knee, where it would stay for the remainder of the Vacation. I then asked the Spirit of the Mountain to help my Wife, and he sent a Bar along to walk over the surface of her knee above the injury. Later in the evening, while we were in the hot tub, I took a quick Mirror Journey. I met Utawa, and the Mirror surface became an Ocean. We soon approached a small Island, where a Spirit Being sat next to a small Fire. I went up to him and asked if he were the Spirit of Healing Knees. He said he was, and I asked him to come with me to heal my family’s knees. I offered him Vodka, Tea and Milk in thanks. The Spirit agreed to my request, and jumped into the Mirror Ocean and quickly spread throughout it. I then returned to the hot tub and let that Spirit float into the hot tub Water and the pool Water, and saw him flow into both the knees. I left all this Energy in place for the rest of the weekend. My wife was able to ski the next day, and although she had some pain, she only missed one run to rest her knee. As we were leaving to come home, I released the Hawk and Bear spirits back to the locale, as that it where they belong. The Knee Healing Spirit is still at work.
